ChatGPT and Assessment: The Pros and Cons in Enhancing Mathematics Education

Watch the Recording

In an era where technology increasingly shapes education, mathematics instructors face both opportunities and challenges in harnessing artificial intelligence, especially when it comes to assessment.

This interactive session explores the dual role of ChatGPT as a powerful tool for assessing students' mathematical understanding and as a potential obstacle to genuine learning. Participants will delve into the nuances of using AI-driven assessment tools effectively, examining best practices for integrating ChatGPT into the mathematics classroom as a collaborator instead of as a tool to help students cheat.

Through engaging discussions, this session aims to empower educators with a deeper understanding of how to leverage AI-driven assessment tools to enhance mathematical learning outcomes and foster critical thinking skills in their students.
